How often should SPC flooring be maintained
Daily cleaning
Family environment: If there are few family members, low activity levels, and no pets at home, using a broom or electrostatic mop to clean the floor once a day can basically keep it clean and promptly remove dust and small particles brought in by daily walking. If there are children or pets at home, due to their frequent activities, more dust, hair, and possible stains may be generated. It is recommended to clean the floor once in the morning and once in the evening to maintain cleanliness and reduce the risk of wear and tear.
Commercial premises: For commercial spaces with relatively moderate foot traffic such as offices and small shops, it is necessary to clean them at least once every working day, with a focus on areas with high foot traffic such as entrances and passages. In densely populated places such as shopping malls, supermarkets, and school corridors, in order to ensure a clean environment and the safety of customers, teachers, and students, it is necessary to clean the ground every 2-4 hours to ensure that there are no obvious debris on the ground.
Periodic wet mopping (deep cleaning)
Family environment: In an ordinary household, a deep cleaning is carried out once a week, using a slightly damp mop combined with an appropriate amount of neutral cleaner for comprehensive wet mopping, which can effectively remove accumulated stains and maintain a good appearance of the floor. But if there are many stains in a certain area of the home (such as the kitchen or dining room), the frequency of wet mopping in that area can be appropriately increased to 2-3 times a week.
Commercial premises: relatively clean commercial areas such as offices and conference rooms can be thoroughly cleaned every 2-3 days. Restaurants, hotel lobbies, and other places that are prone to stains need to be thoroughly cleaned daily or every other day to cope with frequent personnel activities and possible stains.
Special maintenance measures
Floor waxing or use of maintenance agents: SPC flooring itself has good wear resistance and protection, and generally does not require frequent waxing or use of maintenance agents. For SPC flooring used in households, waxing or using professional maintenance agents every 3-6 months can help further enhance the glossiness and wear resistance of the flooring, and extend its service life. Due to the high usage intensity, commercial places can undergo such maintenance every 1-3 months based on actual wear and tear.
Comprehensive inspection and maintenance: In a home environment, it is recommended to conduct a comprehensive inspection of SPC flooring once every quarter to check for any loose, worn, discolored, or other issues with the panels, in order to promptly identify and address potential hazards. Commercial premises require a comprehensive inspection once a month. For areas with high foot traffic or frequent use, the inspection cycle should be appropriately shortened to ensure that the floor is always in good condition and to ensure normal use.
